What an incredible experience to attend the 1st East Africa Congress on Integrative Medicine and Health in Nairobi 🇰🇪 ! I’m so grateful to have been able to represent chiropractic and explain how we can be well positioned to play an important role in integrative medicine.
We already made a path … Now we must go further !
Here is the speech of introduction:
Good morning, distinguished guests, fellow healthcare professionals, and esteemed attendees.
My name is Dr Thomas and I am a French chiropractor working in Nairobi for the past 10 years at Polycare Wellness Centre with Dr Margaret Stower which is unfortunately not able to be with us this morning.
It is my great honor to be here today at the First Congress of Integrative Medicine & Health, where we come together to explore the powerful synergies between conventional and complementary approaches to healthcare.
As a chiropractor, I am deeply passionate about the role that chiropractic care can play in this exciting new frontier of integrative medicine.
For too long, chiropractic has been viewed as a standalone or alternative modality, when in reality, it is an essential component of a comprehensive, holistic approach to health and wellness.
We recognize that the human body is a complex, interconnected system, and that true health and wellness can only be achieved by addressing the whole person – mind, body, and obviously spirit.
That’s why chiropractors are well positioned to play an important role in integrative medicine.
It is what we have developed at Polycare all this years. Working alongside other healthcare providers, such as surgeons, physicians, physical therapists, nutritionists, psychologist, dentists and many more to create a comprehensive, personalized treatment plan that addresses the root causes of a patient’s health concerns.
Moreover, chiropractic care is a safe, non-invasive, and drug-free approach to healthcare, making it an attractive option for patients who are seeking a more natural, holistic solution to their health challenges.
As we look to the future of healthcare, it is clear that integrative medicine will play an increasingly important role. It will allow better collaboration, better care coordination, and improved access to evidence-based treatment for patients.
By combining the best of conventional and complementary therapies, we can create a more personalized, effective, and patient-centered approach to healthcare.
Together, we can create a brighter, healthier future for all.
Thank you for your attention.
