Many people has their own way of crossing their legs, instinctively, whether sitting or standing. They do it because they feel comfortable.
However, this habit could be detrimental to physical health in the long term.
LET’S HAVE A LOOK !
Chiropractors, specialists in movement and posture, have studied the consequences of crossing the legs and are wondering whether it is necessary to stop this practice.
Sitting cross-legged can increase, at long term, the misalignment of the hips, with one being higher than the other, it’s what we called the pelvis tilt.
This shift can cause muscular imbalance ain and tension in the pelvis and so in the low back.
Crossing your legs can have an impact in your blood stream like changing the speed at which blood moves through the blood vessels in the lower limbs during the compression, increasing the risk of bad blood circulation.

Overall, while crossing your legs may seem harmless, it can have significant negative effects on your back and overall health.
It is recommended to avoid sitting cross-legged for extended periods and to maintain good posture to prevent these issues !
